A native of Louisiana, Linda is the oldest of seven children. Her father, now deceased, and her mother raised Linda and her siblings to love and trust in the Lord. She is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, serves as a contract employee, a home based business owner, writer/author, singer, married, and mother of two. Linda has always had a passion for the arts and has been acting and singing since childhood.
Because of Linda’s love for music, she often thought that God would use her exclusively in this area. But in 1996 she responded to God, from her heart, to minister to her extended family through a newsletter. As a result “Celebrating the Family” was founded. This inspired her to write, sharing Spiritual truths through everyday experiences. In 1996 her personal articles, written under the umbrella of “Refreshing the Soul” began. The “Refreshing the Soul” Collection are articles written to inspire, encourage and uplift the soul through words where the melody, that transforms the heart, is not found in musical notes composed on lines, but rather in the deep infinite wells of the Word of God.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age and rededicated her life to Christ on April 21, 1978. She loves the Lord and loves reading and studying His word. Her joy stems from what God teaches her and her passion is to share His word with others. One of her favorite scriptures is “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not lean unto your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path”, Proverbs 3:5-6.
Her role model is her mother whom she says taught her and her siblings by example. She is loved by her family and deeply grateful for being a woman loved by God. She counts it all joy for the privilege of being wife, mother, daughter, sibling, niece, aunt and friend. Her husband of over thirty years and her sons are solid anchors in her life and she thanks the Lord daily for what He gives to her through them.
Her personal testimony is based on her journey through life with Christ, which moved her to pen these words
“I am just an ordinary woman, on an extraordinary journey with an AWESOME GOD!”
